missingWrote a review on Dec 07stunning viewswelcoming staffpoor isolation
Staying at Perla Maya was enjoyable mainly because of the stunning views of the volcanoes and the serene atmosphere. The terrace was a great spot to savor breakfast, surrounded by nature. The staff were welcoming and eager to help with recommendations, which made our arrival seamless. However, the lack of electricity plugs in the room was frustrating. We struggled with just one outlet, and after showering, the floor became quite slippery without proper towels. The room was clean, but the sound isolation was poor. I could hear conversations from the hallway and plumbing noises from adjacent rooms. Despite these setbacks, the views and pleasant breakfast shine brightly in my memory.

The French bread at breakfast was a hit—homemade and warm! The rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxing, offering breathtaking views of the lake. Plus, the pool provides a nice spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
While the views are killer, the basics fell short, the room felt too basic for the price, and I had to wait ages for towels. Noise from the hallway and thin walls made it hard to catch some z's.

The breakfast included was simple yet enjoyable, allowing for a leisurely start to the day with a decent spread as everyone seemed to come down at the same time. The location provided stunning views of the surrounding terrain, making breakfast a pleasant experience.
The room felt outdated and dark, not exactly a cozy spot to hang out. A couple of routes back to the place are dark and isolated, creating a bit of unease when returning at night. Noise travels easily here, with hallway conversations and plumbing sounds from adjacent rooms vying for attention, making it tough to catch some sleep. Additionally, I had to wait a while for towels, which was inconvenient given the room's basic amenities.

The rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the lake and volcanoes. Unfortunately, barking dogs disrupted our sleep during the night.

Friendly staff and simple breakfast included.
The noise from dogs and roosters disturbed sleep frequently throughout my stay. I was disappointed by the limited number of power outlets available in the room, making it challenging to charge devices. Additionally, the isolated route back to the hotel felt unsafe at night, which was quite concerning during my visit.

The room was cozy and the breakfast spread was quite impressive, with fresh fruits and yummy pastries every morning. I loved lounging by the outdoor pool and taking peaceful walks in the garden area. It would’ve been nice to have more power outlets in the room, but overall, I really enjoyed my stay! 🌺
